Here is the link for my lesson
I included four different accountability components in my lesson. I included two worksheets as accountability that my students will print off from a website. They will then fill out the worksheets (as best as they can) and turn them into the homework basket. The other two accountability components I included was a certificate from one of my links and the other one was a bell ringer that the students will write down the level they got to on one of the games.
My implementation strategies is to use my lesson more for a review after I have discussed/ introduced my class to the five oceans, seven continents, and the four directions. I think it would be confusing and time consuming to use my lesson as an introduction lesson. I have also though about breaking it up into three different chunks (oceans, continents, directions) and having the students complete each chunk after introducing the topic to the class. I also think that IA lesson could be a great way to have students that miss school days do catchup work to understand the information that they missed.

Four NETS for Better Searching
I will admit that I have seen the little link of advanced searches on the Google search page but have never tried it out. After reading the NETS website I have realized what a powerful tool the advance search is to have on hand and know how to use. As I was reading the information I was thinking back to all of the assignments and papers that I would have been able to save a lot of time doing research if I would have know how to be a better internet searcher and use Google's advanced search link.
I now feel like a more informed/better internet searcher after reading the NETS tutorial. It helped to have specific examples to search for and compare the difference when using the NETS information. I have done many searches on the internet that are so broad that it ends up taking quite a while to find the kind of information I am looking for. This new information will help me to search for more specifics of a subject instead of having to sift through many slightly related subjects. I feel like this information will help me greatly in the future when ever I am doing any kind of search on the internet. I will be able to find more accurate websites faster and easier.
