iMovie Assignment

I did like the imovie assignment we did in class. I thought that it would be a great way to involve technology in lessons. I think that the older grades, such as 3rd grade and up, would really enjoy this kind of assignment. If a group of students was given the responsibility to teach something or inform the whole class. I think that if would be more difficult and time consuming for younger grades. I think that students at younger ages could use the imovie software with direction and help from a teacher. To find the balance between learning technology and the concepts is to keep the first couple of assignments in imovie short and sweet. This will help students learn a little bit more about the program every time but not spend all of their time on the technology part of the assignment. I like imovie and can see myself using it or another software program similar to it in my future classrooms. I think that it would be a great teaching tool and a learning tool for the students. I think that software like imovie would help students learn information better because they are using a more hands on approach.

I liked your idea of short and sweet lessons to give a taste of iMovie and then slowly move into more detail. I think this would be the best way to avoid having everyone overwhelmed.

I also think that this assignment is a great way to incorporate technology in the classroom. I have never edited a video before this class and I think that it would have been a great thing to have knowledge of from an earlier point in my life.

I also think it would be easier for the older grades to use i-movie successfully, because it would be a little challenging for younger grades.

I think that it would be a great hands on activity that students will not forget. I agree that teaching little at a time would make them not as overwhelmed.
